Branding Case Study
Sandy Krupp Business Cards and Website Design
As with any project, the work I did for Sandy started out with a fact-finding meeting. Sandy was starting his own side-business from his home as a computer repair specialist, and he needed to get his name and information out there on a limited budget. He wasn’t looking for a logo, but he needed to give his business a graphic style that would carry across any of the promotional materials we created.
Sandy certainly needed business cards, and possibly a brochure. We discussed the benefits of creating a single-page website, instead of a printed brochure for the time being. With the website, he was getting the best of both worlds. It would serve as an online brochure. He could point any potential client there for more information, anyone with his business card could also easily find out more, and there was the added benefit of possibly being found through a Google search.
Like most clients, Sandy already had a vision in mind for his brand. We discussed his thoughts, and using the information he provided, I designed 2 business cards for him to choose from. Each used different graphics, different fonts, and different colors that, together, created 2 very different personalities (or brands). The resulting design was abstract and modern.
Sandy also provided some copy points for his website, and I worked closely with a copywriter to develop the website content. The website design followed the chosen business card design closely, to present a unified brand.
Once the business cards were printed and the website was programmed and launched, Sandy also decided he wanted some printed postcards that he could use to attract more attention at various places throughout the Hudson Valley. So using the brand developed for his business card and website, I created a simple postcard that he could distribute.
