The Benedictine Health Foundation (BHF) had a unique challenge. They were in need of two website redesigns, not just one. The Foundation’s website, and their premier fundraiser’s website, Bike for Cancer Care, needed to be updated both in design and in organization. Katy Dwyer Design was brought it to work on both.

We started off by understanding the challenges that BHF faced with their current site. The first goal was to make it clear what BHF’s mission was and what they supported as soon as you logged into the site. We solved this by creating two main portals from the home page: one for Cancer Patient and Family Services, and the other for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse.

The second goal was to create a site that would work for both BHF and the Bike for Cancer Care fundraiser. Once KDD had designed and developed the BHF site, we used that theme to create the Bike site. In both cases, we helped BHF map out the site navigation, thinking about what users will be searching for, and how can we make it easy for people to donate, register, or support riders.

The Benedictine Health Foundation continues to work with Katy Dwyer Design for their multiple design needs, such as invitations to their fundraising events, brochures, and flyers. We also recently redesigned their newsletter, Reflections, keeping it in line with some of the new design styles we included on the website.
